Extended Family Nutrition Program Photos
Adela Fiallo, Extension Program Assistant in Miami-Dade Cooperative Extension Service, providing an educational presentation at the Clinica Peñalver. This clinic offers many services to needy families. Mrs. Fiallo works with the Women Infant and Children and Pediatric clients. These photos were taken at the WIC office. Parents are mandated to participate in educational programs. The EFNEP curriculum used is Eating Right is Basic. Program clients participating in all of the sessions after graduating receive a certificate.
EFNEP has an agreement with the Women Infant and Children program to teach clients nutrition education to help pregnant woman, breastfeeding mother, a new mothers or parents of children up to five years old.
